In all things…..PRAISE HIM!
We are wrapping up our first week of work in Uganda and it has been a test of faith and a display of God’s glory and mercy. First, the praise reports:
1) We arrived safely with no flight delays.
2) Our accommodations and transportation all went as planned.
3) Our group has bonded in an amazing fashion.
4) We have been welcomed with open arms and loving hearts, and
5) After only a week, we have made significant progress on the school we are building.
FOR ALL THESE THINGS WE GIVE PRAISE!!!! But the enemy has indeed been busy. Internet has not worked out has we have planned so I am updating from an internet cafe but unable to skype. This also leaves me unable to upload many photos. Furthermore, three bags were lost by the airline. On the homefront, my mother (who came to help my husband with the children) came down with chicken pox only to have all three children at home get it as well.
BUT, I WILL BLESS THE LORD AT TIMES AND HIS PRAISE SHALL CONTINUALLY BE IN MY MOUTH. I am grateful that there is an internet cafe that is cheap and accessible. The bags were delivered to us after only 3 days. And back at home, everyone is recovering well.
We are off for a weekend of rafting on the Nile and back to work on Tuesday. We are praying for continued success in our physical labor but, more importantly, we want to make a significant impact on the hearts of the women and children. If we can, through our acts, show them a glimpse of God’s love then our struggles will not be in vain.
